AZCO Assistant Project Controls Specialist - AZCO (Field Opportunities) in Appleton, Wisconsin
Description
The Assistant Project Controls Specialist will support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including, project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development and schedule control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Perform project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
Input data, maintain logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Develop, implement, and maintain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts on small projects.
Responsible for following project execution plans.
Approve Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts for proper coding.
Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.
Assist with upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.
Assist with the development of a cash flow.
Assist in the development of various levels of schedules.
Apply logic ties within the schedule.
Perform resource loading of a schedule.
Coordinate project schedules and assist with the development of scheduling reports.
Retrieve, review and distribute pre-programmed scheduling reports along with back-up documentation.
Updates and documents schedule progress.
Develop and maintain an earned value management system.
Understanding and verification of progress measurement.
Develop and maintain progress curves.
Assist with material takeoffs.
Assist quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
Assist with field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle Primavera.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
May be required to obtain an OSHA 10 hour safety certification.
Willingness to accept long term field assignments.
Travel:
- Must be willing to travel to undetermined sites for length of project.
