Summary: Responsible for coordinating the work of all workers, subcontractors, and vendors on a given project. Must trouble shoot and work with field personnel to resolve all problems. Accountable for managing entire process by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate
supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Adheres to and ensures employees commit to the Company’s Zero Injury Process, including stretch and bend program and pre job and task planning, safety education, incident investigation, safety audits, substance abuse testing, incentive program and staffing for safety.
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
Responsible for proper documentation, code compliance, and on site labor management.
Coordinates assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments or other contractors.
Monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented; lead toolbox talks and act as a role model.
Procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
Collaborates with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
Confers with supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.
Works with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors and tool and material suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Directs workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.
Reviews schedules and manpower levels.
Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 5-50 employees.

Education and/or Experience:
Must have a minimum of 10 years in the construction industry. Previous experience as a foreman and/ or superintendent.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
project specifications and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Viewpoint Accounting software, Access, Primavera Scheduling software; MS Excel and MS Word software.
Other Qualifications:
Must have thorough understanding of OSHA and the latest safety standards.
Previous work in one or more of the following areas: Power, Foundry, Food and Beverage, and Paper.
Heavy Industrial experience.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Organizational skills, able to run large projects and make a profit.
